MUAR, 10 April (Bernama) — Seorang remaja perempuan terlepas hukuman gantung apabila Mahkamah Tinggi Muar mengarahkannya dipenjara pada satu tempoh sehingga mendapat pengampunan Sultan Johor selepas didapati bersalah membunuh suaminya, lima tahun lepas.

Pesuruhjaya Kehakiman Awang Armadajaya Awang Mahmud membuat keputusan ke atas remaja yang kini berusia 22 tahun tersebut selepas mendapati pihak pembelaan gagal menimbulkan keraguan munasabah terhadap kes pendakwaan.

Mengikut pertuduhan, remaja yang ketika itu berusia 17 tahun didakwa membunuh suaminya, 28, di sebuah rumah di Jalan Indah 6, Taman Pertama Indah, Sungai Abong, di sini, kira-kira pukul 1.30 tengah hari, 14 Okt 2017.

Berdasarkan fakta kes, pesalah menikam suaminya menggunakan pisau pemotong sayur di bahagian dada di kediaman milik majikan suaminya yang bekerja sebagai pembantu kedai menjual ayam di sebuah pasar dan kejadian itu berlaku selepas kira-kira lima bulan mereka mendirikan rumah tangga.
